-We are a State of NH non-profit social organization focused on helping make the world around us a better, happier place, serving the Lakes Region/Northern NH.
-With the help of our membership, we have fundraisers with proceeds to Warriors @ 45 North in Pittsburg, NH, we support a U.S. Army Platoon with a periodic care package full of goodies from home and donate non-perishalbe food (pet/human)/personal use items & clothing (new/clean used) to the Warner Area Food Pantry & Community Center in Warner, NH.
-We are a Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc.(aka: PHIP), chartered member (for more info go to: phip.com), 9 years and counting of community service.
-We meet monthly at: Casamigos Mexican Restaurant 276 Main St. Tilton, NH on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 2pm. Check our "upcoming events", below for exact meeting date.
-THE PICTURE ABOVE: was taken at the Jimmy Buffett concert 2019....you need to be a club member to get a club concert ticket.
Unfortunately, the "Dusty Parrot" raffle is over. The proceeds will go to our friends at Warriors @ 45 North The parrot is made from a 55 gallon steel drum (recycling), the rib on the drum, is the perch for the parrot. There were only 10 that were made in 1997 and 3 have been in storage since back then. The backside has been re-coated with fresh paint, the front is original paint, 23 years old, almost an antique.
MORE about the rest of this piece:The backer boards are half sawn logs about 2 inches thick, tapered, manicured with sandpaper and all wood is stained & satin poly finish (easy to clean). The signs are custom made, the "Bar" & "Inn" sign is reversible and the lettering is all outline (hard to see in pics.). The nails holding the signs are old cut nails (100+ years old), that I extracted from restoration work that I have done in the past, a little sanding & fresh paint, repurposed! ! All the proceeds went to Warriors @ 45 North , for more info on this charity go to: warriors45north.com Ior contact: Tom Donovan at: president@pnnhphc.com
This was at the W@45N booth at the Moose Festival 2018. Pirate Capt. Tom (in blue t-shirt), presenting our check for $205 from one of our sign raffles, to Jon "Chief" Warroll and we donated a "New Hampshire" sign to Pat "Doc" Phillips, for them to raffle or keep.. We also cooked up some Margaritaville shrimp and helped support our friends
This is the sign Pirate Capt. Tom made, to give to W@45N for a raffle of their choice or they could keep it, they chose to keep it and display it at their encampment. The sign has raised details and is all hand painted with a roped exterior.
This is the bunkhouse across from the main building. The sign over the entrance says "Built by Vets for Vets". The bunkhouse has room for 6 Vets, men or women. This is our membership's support $$$'s at work.
Each Vet that stays, draws a silhouette of their hand on the 2x10 inch ceiling joist (above the bunks) and adds their name and date they stayed. The same happens in the main house. This is our raffle program at work.
This is the main house on the encampment. All the Vets that come here, stay at no cost to the Veteran. When they go fishing or hunting, W@45N picks up the cost of State license fees, our donations go to all of this.
The backyard is quite pleasant. Perry stream runs in the background and firepit in the foreground. Great place for nice evening of relaxation...at no cost to the Vet
All camp staff are not paid, they are all volunteers.
ALL DONATIONS MADE DIRECTLY TO W@45N ARE U.S. TAX DEDUCTABLE
We support our Vets.
